Rep. Angie Craig’s Town Hall #5 – Northfield

Rep. Angie Craig held the fifth in her promised series of monthly town halls — this time at a chapel in a retirement community in Northfield. The event was popular, with a standing-room-only crowd of constituents.

Craig’s town halls have certain ingredients which always happen:

  1. Entertainment by young people from the area.
  2. Craig leading the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance.
  3. Multiple questioners thanking Craig for showing up, and remarking on their lack of access to her predecessor.
  4. Questions from the left and the right, all handled by the Congresswoman with class and dignity.
  5. A genial, if not always comfortable, atmosphere.
  6. Staff are on hand to follow up to concerns that need it.
  7. Listening. Democracy.
