ACLU Lobby Day- Contact Your Reps on Important Bills

The ACLU-MN is a non-partisan organization that “continues to promote, protect, and extend the civil liberties and civil rights of people in Minnesota through litigation, lobbying, and community engagement.”

Their annual Lobby Day was aimed at getting citizens to engage with their elected representatives on 4 key areas:

Restore the Vote, HF40 / SF 856

Cap Probation, HF 689 / SF 1606

Reforming Fines and Fees HF 1060 / SF 1375 ; HF 1061 / SF 1376

Immigrant Driver’s Licenses, HF 1500

Please contact your MN House Rep and MN Senate Rep about any/all of the bills that you feel most strongly about.  Please especially push your Republican Senate reps to have these bills debated and voted on as this is where many of these bills are being held up.  Our collective voices matter!
