Beto and the Angry Inch: 2020 comes to Lakeville

(Lakeville, MN) Beto O’Rourke brought his campaign for the Democratic Presidential nomination to Minnesota on Wednesday, using Angry Inch Brewing in Lakeville as his inaugural stop. Arriving in heavy rain, he found a venue that had been filled to capacity a good half hour before he arrived, and he took time to shake the hands of the many in the spillover crowd that lined the street.

After a brief introduction by Angry Inch co-founder and brewmaster Jon Erickson, O’Rourke launched into an animated and crowd-pleasing pitch, followed by questions and answers from the audience. At one point the lanky Texan brandished his trademark bit of climbing up on a chair to better see people in the back.

O’Rourke stayed for a long time after his talk to meet, take photos and soak in the experiences of those who came out to see him.
