Burnsville: congressman a no-show

Another town hall was held February 25, 2017 at the Burnhaven Library in Burnsville, MN, to a much larger crowd that the spacious meeting room could accommodate – the event needed at least twice the space that was available, and many people were unfortunately turned away at the door. Once again, the district’s congressman, Jason Lewis, declined to attend.

Every corner of the room was filled, and there were many people outside who could not get in
A hastily-assembled placeholder for Rep. Jason Lewis was put at the front of the room, for constituents to address.
The event was well organized and delved into a variety of issues affecting citizens in the second congressional district.
