Get big money OUT of politics!

Please join Our Revolution Dakota County in welcoming American Promise and Move to Amend for an afternoon learning how these groups are working to end the influence of big money in politics. Learn about each organization, how they are similar, how are they different, what are they currently working on, and how can we help support their cause. Bring your questions and motivation to end corporate influence in our elections! Let’s take back our government so that the PEOPLE’S voices are heard, not corporations or big money!

Doors open at 2pm.
The Wescott meeting room is located on the lower level of the library with elevator access available.
Presentations start at 2:30pm.

American Promise (http://www.americanpromise.net/) – “Mission –
To empower, inspire, and organize Americans to win the cause of our time: the 28th Amendment. This historic reform will rebalance our politics and government by putting the rights of individual citizens and the interests of the nation before the privileges of concentrated money, corporations, unions, political parties, and superPACs.”

Move to Amend (www.movetoamend.org) – “We are calling for an amendment to the US Constitution to unequivocally state that inalienable rights belong to human beings only, and that money is not a form of protected free speech under the First Amendment and can be regulated in political campaigns.”
