Rep. Angie Craig held the fifth in her promised series of monthly town halls — this time at a chapel in a retirement community in Northfield. The event was popular, with a standing-room-only crowd of constituents.
Craig’s town halls have certain ingredients which always happen:
- Entertainment by young people from the area.
- Craig leading the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance.
- Multiple questioners thanking Craig for showing up, and remarking on their lack of access to her predecessor.
- Questions from the left and the right, all handled by the Congresswoman with class and dignity.
- A genial, if not always comfortable, atmosphere.
- Staff are on hand to follow up to concerns that need it.
- Listening. Democracy.
