On January 16th, Senate District 52, hosted all of the gubernatorial campaigns at Union 32 Craft House in Eagan. All of the candidates were able to attend, except for Tim Walz as he was busy in DC- who had his campaign and David Wellstone representing him. Residents of SD52 were able to pledge to caucus, could learn about their caucus location, could meet and mingle with fellow Dems from across the area and enjoy great food and drink in a very festive atmosphere. Over 200 people attended! Many things were accomplished. Everyone got to hear briefly from each gubernatorial candidate. Our community came together and was re-energized for the fight ahead to take back control everywhere we can in Nov. 2018. Many commented on how happy they were, in this more informal setting, to actually get face time with all of the candidates and ask questions or share concerns directly with those that might earn the right to represent them. New contacts were shared and new relationships formed. SD52 would like to thank all who came, including other elected officials and candidates, and residents of other local districts.
